Dr. Amanda Kane

Dr. Amanda Kane opened Gentle Gynecology in 2021 to bring kind, compassionate, skilled gynecologic care to south Sarasota County. She feels right at home here in Venice because she grew up in a small town on the Connecticut shoreline. She was drawn to medicine because it combines her love for science, health, and helping others. The specialty of Ob-Gyn was an easy choice because she loves building lasting relationships with her patients, listening to their concerns, and improving their quality of life with the latest medical and surgical treatments. She is Board Certified and has a passion for minimally invasive surgery techniques including vaginal surgery and Da Vinci robotic surgery. She has worked as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, as a private practice Ob-Gyn in Clearwater, and as an OB Hospitalist. She is married to Dr. Steven Kane, an Ophthalmologist who also practices in Venice. They have three beautiful children and enjoy spending time outdoors.
